It is the ideal fitting to install at the end of overflow pipes to ensure mosquitoes can't travel back towards the tank.
Any charged line will benefit from a flap valve to prevent pests entering back into the system to the water stored within the pipework. Simply install a flap valve on the exit of the pipe (often where the pipe will drop onto the tank inlet).
