Recommended systems for mid size tanks



Four metal tanks of between 5,000 and 6,000L capacity provide rainwater for internal and external uses, including all hot water (rainwater passes through the hot water system) and garden irrigation requirements.

Recommended components

Rainwater tank - typically between 3,000L to 10,000L capacity; with rainwater supplied by more than 2 downpipes
Plus:
1 x Leaf Eater^® rain head at each downpipe
1 x Post/Wall/Stand Mounted First Flush Water Diverter installed at the tank downpipe
1 x Inlet Tank Screen (Strainer)
1 x Tank Overflow Outlet fitted with a Mozzie Stoppa Insect Proof Screen or Flap Valve
1 x Small Pressure Pump
1 x Mains water Tank 'Top-Up' System

     Stand Mounted First Flush Water Diverter
     - ensures the first flush of rainwater,
     which may contain contaminants from
     the roof and gutters, does not pollute
     the tank water

     Small Pressure Pump supplies water for
     internal uses, including hot water system.
